My Room
The college I’m studying at provides off-campus housing for us. There are three different buildings, and I am in Alexandrias which is in a great little neighborhood in Thessaloniki. My roommate, Chelsea, is a junior from Missouri. She’s a super sweet girl, but it’s weird to share such a small space with someone again! The biggest drawback so far: we only have one internet connection that has to be plugged into the wall, so we have to take turns using the internet. (yikes!) As a constant connector, this is definitely going to take some time to adjust to. We also share a pretty small closet, and a little kitchen. There are no microwaves here, so we have to cook everything either on the stove top or in the oven. Each room also has a little balcony, which will be nice once the weather gets warm. (Unfortunately, ours looks into an alley.) Most people in Greece do not have clothes dryers, so instead we line-dry everything by hanging it on clotheslines on our balconies.
